Safety training for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard

Gasaway Consulting Group, LLC, the parent of company of Situational Awareness Matters will be conducting situational awareness training for employees at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard

This is the second naval facility to receive a site evaluation and training for lifting and handling personnel. The first training programs were conducted for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

The training started in 2018 and will be completed in 2019. The focus of the training will be to help improve situational awareness and decision making for operators working in the Lifting and Handling Unit.

The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard is our nation’s largest, most comprehensive Fleet repair and maintenance facility (which includes the designation of being a Regional Maintenance Center) between the U.S. West Coast and the Far East.

NAVSEA (Naval Sea Systems Command) has numerous field activities geographically dispersed throughout the country that provide the engineering, scientific, technical and logistical expertise, products and support to the Fleet, Department of Defense, and other customers.
